Michigan artist Marcia Perry began sculpting full-time in 1990. Perry tries not to impose ideas on trees, but listens to them and lets them tell their own stories. Those tales are told in local hardwoods, such as beech, ash, willow, sumac, apple and walnut.
Michigan artist Jessica Bohus creates steel wire sculptures. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute and an instructor at Ox-Bow Summer School. The sculptures are like gestural line drawings come to life in 3D.
