ArtPrize Original Sticks table!

We just received a Sticks table and chairs from the architectural firm that helped bring the GIANT table & chairs to the top of the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids for ArtPrize 2009. This set was the original Sticks created work that they made the giant sculpture from – known in the art world as a “maquette” – or small sculpture created for the fabricators to work from. We are proud to offer this special set available for sale in our Sticks room. Hope you are able to come see this piece of ArtPrize history in a year when we are all missing the event itself!

Visit us Saturday Oct. 12th & Sunday Oct. from 12 – 5 pm and meet artists Jessica Bohus & Jessica Walker. Both are employees of the store and Sandra wanted to feature them together for this years Stroll. Jessica B. makes sculpture out of steel wire and Jessica W. paints with acrylic. Both ladies work shows their love of animals.

Come to Good Goods the night of June 23rd and see new work from three of our favorite local artists. Tom DePree works in oil on canvas and will be showing a variety of his abstracted dreamscapes. Fabric artist Priscilla Lynch will have abstract and figurative pieces that are all hand dyed and pieced together using a wide variety of techniques. Jessica Bohus is showing sculptures made of painted steel wire that change as the viewer moves around them. All three will be on hand for the opening.

Meet Mary on Saturday, October 10th!
Good Goods is proud to feature an exhibit of Mary Brodbeck’s woodblock prints. Opening reception at Good Goods on Saturday, October 10 12:30 to 3:30. Mary will be introducing her documentary short “BECOMING MADE” at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts at 11am and again at 4pm as part of the Gallery Stroll weekend.
